 I have  various terms to indicate the availability of kittens: 

Available: Kitten is for sale

Option: A serious buyer is interested in the kitten,

but no deposit has been paid at this time.

If other buyer express in the same kitten,

we retain the right proceed with a sale.

Reserved: Deposit is paid on a kitten.

This kitten will be held for the buyer,

until the full payment is due.

Sold: The kitten is paid for and is either shipped

or to be shipped shortly.
